Last term I finished another project for the New Media Design and Web Development program at BCIT. The assignment was to design a simple vector logo, brand guide and newsletter for a fictional client called The Magic Wand, A Digital Education Series. The brand requirements were to have a modern, clean and unique design. Their target audience was mainly designers both new and old, but they wish to cater to a younger, hip demographic. For the newsletter, the project was to design a template for a bi-weekly communication that would feature news on the latest videos and tips & tricks for web and print design from beginner to intermediate. To keep brand consistency throughout any material, the web style guide had to assist anyone that requires the overall rules for the brand.
